Amal Clooney’s Hair Gloss Is on Sale, Plus More Celebrity-Used Beauty
My brain is a database of useless information and fun facts at the cost of practical skills; I can tell you the exact episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia where Danny Devito wears skinny jeans, but I can’t do long division. I’d be worried that my index of celebrity-used beauty products is moot, but thankfully, being a beauty editor, this information isn’t going to waste.
I’ve scoured the deep recesses of my mind and pulled together this list of the 48 best beauty products used by everyone from Margot Robbie to Andie Macdowell and Vera Wang. And, they’re all available at Amazon, where they’re on sale for Prime Day RN. Hurry, though: You only have a few more hours to shop these celebrity staples on discount before Amazon Prime Day ends.
Best Celebrity-Used Skin Care, Hair Care, and Makeup Deals Overall
For your ease of browsing, I’ve separated the products into three categories; skin care, where prices start at $10, makeup from $12, and hair and body care starting at $8. These are all on sale for Amazon Prime Day, but many are affordable regardless of discounts. Happy shopping!

Best Celebrity-Used Skincare Deals
Sometimes I look at a celebrity and think, “Oh my god their skin is radiant—what are they using?” A rabbit hole later, I discover that it’s a $300 moisturizer or some egregiously high price I can’t stomach. But, that’s not always the case—there are also a lot of affordable picks, like Cameron Diaz’s $16 retinol serum or Sarah Jessica Parker’s $25 moisturizer. In fact, all of the products below are $48 or less, save for the two skin care devices (relatively inexpensive given the pricey nature of the category).

Versed Press Restart Gentle Retinol Serum
Retinol is an anti-aging super ingredient known for two things: its multi-pronged efficacy and extreme potency that frequently causes irritation. TheCameron Diaz-used Press Restart Retinol Serum from Versed makes the most of the former while avoiding the latter.
One shopper said this made their “neck and chest area look smoother and a bit firmer.” It also lightens “dark spots” and fades wrinkles, per another shopper. Overall, the consensus from reviewers is that this is truly a gentle and sensitive skin-safe retinol serum.
The Outset Purify Blue Clay Mask
A celebrity is obviously going to tout the prowess of a product from their own brand, as Scarlett Johansson did when she told me she uses this mask from The Outset, a brand she co-founded, for a gentle “10-minute reset.” But, I can assure you that it deserves so much hype; I’ve tried the mask and used two jars of it.
It’s packed with a combination of gentle decongesting and nourishing ingredients to slough off dead skin and clear out pores without causing breakouts. Shoppers agree with my take: One said that it makes their skin “feel hydrated and [look] noticeably clearer.”
Best Celebrity-Used Makeup Deals
I own a couple of $50+ celebrity-used foundations that truly are great, but if you’re looking for something that’s a fifth of the price, many inexpensive options are discounted for Prime Day. Take Helen Mirren’s $11 concealer or Megan Thee Stallion’s $11 foundation. In fact, the most expensive product on this list is still very affordable at $19.
L’Oréal Paris Infallible Concealer
L’Oréal’s Infallible collection is a hit with celebrities; Eva Longoria uses the foundation and Helen Mirren (a spokesperson for the brand) uses the concealer. The latter has 13,000+ five-star ratings thanks to a long-wear formula with coverage so good, many shoppers stop using foundation.
This L’Oréal concealer comes in 25 shades and is now just $10; well worth the price since a 57-year-old shopper with “dark circles” says this is “the only product that covers” without “settling into fine lines.”
Grande Cosmetics GrandeGlow Plumping Highlighter
Brooke Shields is an all-around fan of Grande Cosmetics, known to use a slew of its products including its brow growth serum that she deigned worthy of her iconic brows. The product I’m most interested in buying this Prime Day, however, is its Plumping Highlighter, which Shields said she “always has” in her bag. She applies it to her cheekbones and eyelids to make her eyes look “bright.”
Best Celebrity-Used Hair and Body Care Deals
Hair and body care are (thankfully) pretty affordable categories to begin with, but thanks to Prime Day deals, products like Kristin Chenoweth’s $8 body oil and Amal Clooney’s $12 hair gloss are even cheaper. The below list also includes finds that don’t go on sale often like the hair treatment that’s used by Margot Robbie and Julianne Moore.
- Alyssa Milano: Nioxin System 1 Shampoo and Conditioner, $32 (Originally $45)
- Amal Clooney: L’Oréal Paris Le Color Toning Hair Gloss, $12 (Originally $16)
- Andie MacDowell: L’Oréal Paris EverPure Purple Shampoo and Conditioner Set, $15 (Originally $20)
- Charlize Theron: Olaplex No.7 Hair Bonding Oil, $23 (Originally $30)
- Cindy Crawford and Sarah Jessica Parker: Neutrogena Sesame Body Oil, $16 (Originally $25)
- From an Eva Mendes-used brand: True Botanicals Shine and Protect Natural Hair Cream Oil, $22 (Originally $52)
- Jennifer Lopez and Amal Clooney: Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Hair Spray, $22 (Originally $28)
- Julianne Moore, Margot Robbie, and Lana Del Rey: Olaplex No. 6 Bond Smoother Hair Styling Treatment, $23 (Originally $30)
- Kourtney Kardashian: Kopari Coconut Melt, $23 (Originally $29)
- Kristin Chenoweth: Bio Oil Skin Care Oil, $8 (Originally $15)
- Martha Stewart: Mario Badescu Super Rich Olive Body Lotion, $13 (Originally $22)
- From a Megan Fox-used brand: Hempz Age-Defy Body and Hand Lotion, $19 (Originally $25)
Olaplex No. 6 Bond Smoother Hair Styling Treatment
Olaplex is one of the beauty brands with the longest list of celebrity fans and users. Julianne Moore, Margot Robbie, and Lana Del Rey are just some of the celebrities who use the No. 6 Bond Smoother. It’s a leave-in treatment that lasts 72 hours, during which it repairs strands, keeps frizz at bay, makes hair soft, and imparts shine.
With more than 41,000 five-star ratings, it has so many superlatives and rave reviews, it’s hard to pick the ones to highlight. But, one shopper who confirmed its plethora of purported benefits stood out: “My hair is transformed,” they said. It’s softer, silkier, smoother, healthier, and younger-looking.”
Mario Badescu Super Rich Olive Body Lotion
Ah, Martha Stewart—we love a queen who uses incredibly affordable beauty products. Whenever she gives us a peek into her routine, I walk away with a new $10 to $15 product to try. One of the most compelling of her go-tos is the hydrating Mario Badescu Super Rich Olive Body Lotion.
Its ingredients retain moisture, produce collagen, and provide anti-inflammatory benefits, making it good enough for 82-year-old Martha Stewart and thousands of shoppers, young and mature alike. One reviewer said that Mario Badescu’s body lotion performed “miracles” on their “alligator skin.” Plus, it’s so moisturizing, one application lasts for days.
Remember: Amazon Prime Day ends in a few hours—so snag these celebrity-used beauty products before they return to full price.
