I go on and on to friends and family about how important it is to use sunscreen. There are so many reasons, from minimizing your risk of skin cancer to slowing down signs of aging. The thing is, despite the formulaic advancements that have made chalk-face a thing of the past, it’s still tedious. But I have found a sunscreen that I wear every single day, and not just because I’ve become diligent about avoiding UV rays—the firming formula has actually made my skin the softest it’s ever been. Meet: First Aid Beauty’s Hydrating Sunscreen Milk.
I am hesitant about using new skin care products, but this seemed like a pretty low-stakes experiment, given that First Aid Beauty’s lineup is all sensitive skin-safe and has never done me wrong. Also, I need to practice what I preach and be incredibly dedicated to a sun care routine, especially now that the days are bright and sunny.

I was immediately—as in while still applying it—obsessed with how nourishing and soothing this felt. I wanted to drench my entire body in it. First impressions, however, can be deceiving, so I abstained from making a judgment until day four. When I took stock of my skin, the first thing I noticed was the lack of congested pores, small blemishes, or otherwise clogged skin, which are common casualties for me from (I thought) all sunscreens. I was most impressed, however, by how baby soft and silky my skin felt. My skin also looked and felt bouncier, more elastic, and plump to the point where it’s replaced one of my serums.
Since this was obviously not a placebo effect (who would expect these changes from a sunscreen?), I did a deep dive on the formula. The ingredients of note are colloidal oatmeal, soybean, glycerin, and rice extract. They are what give First Aid Beauty’s Hydrating Sunscreen Milk its elasticity-improving, anti-inflammatory, softening, smoothing, and anti-aging (antioxidant protection, wrinkle-filling, etc) effect.
I’ve been reaching for First Aid Beauty’s Hydrating Sunscreen Milk every day because of how much it’s improved the state of my skin, it’s just a happy bonus that I finally have a suncare routine, too. Shop it on Amazon and more of my favorite SPF-infused beauty products below.
